The Spanish music has changed in the last years; from the 80’s to nowadays music has become more rhythmical and rich: from Hombres G to El canto del loco, from Tino Casal to Melendi; we are going to show you how our music changes day by day.
Hombres G
This is a mythical pop rock group who started in the early 80’s.
Their two first singles were: Milagro en el Congo / Venezia and Marta tiene un marcapasos / La cagaste... Burt Lancaster, but their most successful song was: Devuelveme a mi chica (even today young people sing it).
Their best year was 1985, when they made near 100 performances, at that time they were so successful that people waited since four o’clock in the morning to see them. In 2005 they made a new tour with other group to present a new album; this tour made a stop in León and the place where they played was full of people of all ages, who were screaming, shouting and singing the same as 20 years before.
They have influence in some new groups appeared in the last ten years, and versions of their songs had been made in the latest times.

Although at the beginning the weren’t very famous, they got success with their third album (Estados de ánimo) which contains La madre de José, the single that made them get to first positions in the 40 principals list.
Two years after estados de ánimo they started to sell Zapatillas (trainers), which first single (zapatillas) was another success for the group.
Nowadays they are making their fifth studio album that will be sell since February 2008.
Apart from Hombres G and El canto del loco there are much more good Spanish groups an singers such as:
Pereza: Their main successes are pienso en aquella tarde and princesas
La 5ª estación: Their main successes are tu peor error and me muero and they also made a version from an Hombres g song.
Heroes del silencio: Their main successes are maldito duende and entre dos tierras
The most listened stile of music is pop rock but there are also other kind of music: celtic music (Hevia, Carlos Nuñez, etc) heavy metal (tierra santa, warcry) songwriters (Joaquin Sabina, Ismael Serrano), rap (la mala rodriguez, SFDK, Haze) and much more kinds of different and good music.
